From the introductory text: “This is a new perspective on art in Britain since the war, one which celebrates the work of artists who came to this country from africa, Asia and the Caribbean bringingwith them a new energy and a new internationalism. The exhibition has been selected by the artist and writer Rasheed Araeen. His story of art in Britain is told through the work of 24 artists over a 40-year period - the oldest, Ronald Moody, was born in Jamaica in 1900 and the youngest, Sonia Boyce, in London in 1962.”
