Title: Sonia Boyce: Recent Work, Whitechapel Gallery, London, 13 May - 26 June
Author: Amanda Sebestyen
Article is accompanied by 2 photographic reproductions: Talking Presence, detail, work in progress; Sonia Boyce with her work in progress, Talking Presence.

From the article: “Boyce has set her face against this particular seduction. Her Recent Work shows her literally tearing her decorated interiors and heroic figures apart, layering them into collage or putting the same image into different exposures, her own gorgeous drawing become one silver in the mix. She has gone back to home base in the Black British school of artists, passing through the different codes and styles of her peers.”
