Extracts from the exhibition press release: “This exhibition addresses, through photographs and stories, the impact of HIV on individuals and society. Six photographic projects have been commissioned to address the impact (sic) HIV infection. The contributions approach this issue from a number of different perspectives, using practices ranging from documentary photography to constructed images. All the contributions are linked by stories expressing direct personal experiences related to HIV and AIDS. The exhibition is a collaboration between Camerawork and The Photo Co-op, and has been devised in consulation with individuals from the Health Education Authority, the Terence Higgins Trust, Frontliners and Body Positive. The exhibition is supported by grants from the Health Education Authority and the Arts Council of Great Britain.”
