The National Gallery of Jamaica was the venue for Cricket, Lovely Cricket | The Cricket Paintings of Barrington Watson, 10 March - 28 April 2007. This exhibition coincided with The 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup, the ninth edition of the tournament which took place in the Caribbean from 13 March to 28 April 2007.
Watson has the distinction of being one of the first Black artists to secure an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London, England. It was his association with the RCA that earned him a place in RCA Black, held at the RCA, 31 August - 6 September 2011. The exhibition featured contributions by a number of Black artists who had studied at the RCA over the course of several decades.
